I prefer silence, but some things just can’t be fixed by silence alone.

His presence is calm, yet unwavering — like the tide that never retreats. To others, he’s a tough Argonian: scarred, agile, pragmatic. A mercenary of few words, who melts into shadows and shows up where danger whispers. But those who truly look see this: beneath the rough shell, there’s a guarded tenderness.
Hide is gentle by choice. He’s seen the world — almost became something dark. But the Void showed him another path.
Even sharp and lethal, he carries an almost comical absentmindedness. He loses things, drifts off in thought. His sense of urgency is softened by a rare gentleness — as if time flows differently for him.
He doesn’t care for gold, titles, or fame. Sleeps wherever he can, eats what’s available, laughs with those who respect him. Simplicity is his fortress.

Hide was born in 4E 165, in the shadowed Telvanni Peninsula, among colossal mushrooms and twisted towers of living stone. He grew up as the son of a slave woman, held captive by a cruel Telvanni mage master who forced her to toil illegally in the mushroom farms. With every breath of the sulfurous wind, Hide dreamed of freedom. On a stifling night, seizing a moment when the cruel Dunmer was distracted, he fled along the cliffs — leaving behind his mother... and a promise to return.
He took refuge in Black Marsh, where he found shelter among his own kind. He shared everything he had endured and learned the art of ambush from his brethren. With courage and fire in his heart, he gathered a band of warriors willing to risk everything to free his mother from the mage’s grasp.
The raid was bold: they stormed the tower and managed to free her. But the Dunmer escaped and showed no mercy. Soon, they were surrounded by his henchmen and mercenaries. With no other choice and his chest tight with pain, Hide ordered his mother to flee to the Black Marsh along with the warriors he’d brought. Fearing that drawing enemy attention toward his mother would be deadly, he stayed behind and crossed the sea to Leyawiin, Cyrodiil.
There, he was reborn as a mercenary, thief, and survivor. He roamed alleys and fortresses until he crossed paths with the young Bosmer elf Erina Gallus, wandering Cyrodiil alone. She would become his partner, his ward, and the starting point for a string of adventures and heists against the wealthy elite.
