Band of the Five is a group of young outlaws in Cyrodiil, born from the ruins of the Great War. The leader of the group is the fearless Bosmer bard, Erina Gallus. After meeting her loyal companion, Hide-His-Scale — an Argonian as tall as a Nord, whose calm demeanor surprises as much as his deadly skill impresses — she decided to gather other young misfits she encountered during her travels. Erina joined forces with Hide at the end of 4E 190; by mid-4E 191, Saban had joined the group, followed by Thomas in 4E 193 and Lisgrid in 4E 194. Together, they took advantage of the Empire’s weakness to raid caravans, assault Imperial forts, and rob wealthy merchants, selling weapons and other valuables on the black market. They also explored and looted ancient Elven ruins.

Erina stands out as an irreverent, energetic, and somewhat eccentric bard. Hide-His-Scale is a wise and gentle Argonian with a criminal past, who chose to aid Erina in her journey. Saban is a tribal Redguard on a solo coming-of-age ritual journey who arrived in Cyrodiil full of pride, courage, and stubborn resolve. Thomas, a pampered former Vigilant of Stendarr, joined largely due to his infatuation with Saban — but he also proves invaluable when it comes to healing the wounded and fighting undead. Lastly, Lisgrid, a Nord shaped by a troubled past yet profoundly resilient, developed a mutual romantic bond with Erina.

Though small, lean, and full of quirks, Erina Gallus radiates a contagious charisma that lifts the group’s spirits. Saban brings sincerity and a pragmatic counterbalance to Erina’s often wild plans, while Hide calmly guides the group’s “caravan” with the wisdom of a seasoned elder. Lisgrid, a battlemage with a distinctive druidic touch, is as useful in intense battles as she is in navigating the wilds.

While Saban and Lisgrid share many traits, occasional clashes keep a respectful and safe distance between them, even within a solid friendship. Thomas is deeply smitten with Saban, though she treats him with amused dismissal — to her, he's too young and immature. Meanwhile, Lisgrid and Erina often take on missions alone, savoring intimate moments away from the others. As for Hide, everyone in the group admires him; he’s seen as an older brother or a father figure, always ready with wise counsel and spirit-lifting stories.
